Rockstar again scored the footage with licensed tracks, reinforcing the game's strong musical identity.

Crucially, the second trailer landed alongside a release date, tying the creative reveal to a concrete business moment. That pairing — new footage plus a date — is how Rockstar tends to escalate a campaign, and it turned Trailer 2 into the point where GTA VI stopped being an abstract 'someday' and became something fans could mark on a calendar.

Taken together, the two trailers establish the pillars of the game with real confidence. The setting is Vice City within the wider state of Leonida. The structure is a dual-protagonist story built around Lucia and Jason. The tone is a glossy, satirical, deeply lived-in take on contemporary America. And the technical ambition is obvious in every frame — crowd density, weather, reflections and small environmental details that fans have spent months pausing and dissecting.

Just as telling is what the trailers deliberately withhold. There is no gameplay footage, no heads-up display, no mission structure, no menus and no world map.
