FAQ
Quick, confirmed answers to the questions people ask most about Grand Theft Auto VI.
When is GTA VI coming out?
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to release on November 19, 2026. Rockstar Games delayed the game to this date on November 6, 2025, having previously targeted May 26, 2026.
What platforms is GTA VI on?
GTA VI launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar has not announced a PC version at launch; historically a PC release follows the console version.
Where does GTA VI take place?
GTA VI is set in Vice City and the wider fictional state of Leonida, Rockstar's modern-day reimagining of Florida. It is the largest open world in the series to date.
Who is the main character in GTA VI?
There is no single main character. Grand Theft Auto VI has two playable protagonists — Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval — and you play as both. Lucia is the first female protagonist in a mainline GTA game. Rockstar has not said whether one leads more of the story than the other.
How old are Lucia and Jason in GTA VI?
Rockstar has not published ages for Lucia Caminos or Jason Duval. Both read as adults in their twenties or thirties in the trailers, but any specific figure you see quoted is a fan estimate — often extrapolated from the Bonnie-and-Clyde parallels — rather than an official number.
How tall are Lucia and Jason in GTA VI?
Rockstar has not published heights for either protagonist. Figures such as 5'3" for Lucia and 6'1" for Jason circulate widely, but they originate from fan wikis rather than Rockstar, and no official source confirms them.
Why is GTA VI on Netflix?
Netflix is the exclusive home of GTA VI: An Extended Look, a Rockstar-produced look at the game. It is a distribution deal for that one video, not a sign that the game itself is coming to Netflix — Grand Theft Auto VI is still a PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S release.
What bikes and motorcycles are in GTA VI?
Rockstar has not published a vehicle list. The trailers show motorcycles alongside supercars, muscle cars, SUVs, trucks and boats across Vice City and the Leonida wetlands. Our vehicles guide catalogues what is actually visible in the official footage, by type.
Who are the main characters in GTA VI?
The game has two playable protagonists, Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval. Lucia is the first female lead in a mainline Grand Theft Auto game, and their story is described as a modern Bonnie-and-Clyde tale.
Who is developing GTA VI?
Grand Theft Auto VI is developed and published by Rockstar Games, the studio behind Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2.
How many trailers does GTA VI have?
Rockstar has released three official videos: Trailer 1 in December 2023, Trailer 2 in May 2025, and Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, a roughly 27-minute showcase that premiered on August 27, 2026. An Extended Look is the first to show the game being played.
How do I watch GTA VI: An Extended Look?
Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look is free to watch on the Rockstar Games YouTube channel and on rockstargames.com/VI, and it is also on Netflix for subscribers. It premiered on Netflix on August 27, 2026 at 3 p.m. ET and went up on YouTube at 9 p.m. ET the same day. The YouTube video is age-restricted, so you need to watch it on YouTube while signed in, not in an embedded player.
Do I need Netflix to watch the GTA VI Extended Look?
No. Netflix only had a six-hour exclusive window on August 27, 2026. The same video has been free on Rockstar's YouTube channel and the Grand Theft Auto VI website since 9 p.m. ET that day.
Is GTA VI the first game since GTA V?
